Job Description: Worship Director

Who We Are
East Renton Community Church (“ERCC”) is an independent, Bible-believing fellowship of Christians, located in the eastern part of the Highlands area of Renton, Washington. The area around our church is exploding with housing developments and the community is a growing and fertile ground for ministry. Our passion is to reach each household with the message of God's love in Christ.
We are conservative in doctrine, which means that we believe the Bible to be God's Word to mankind, and that the original writings were inerrant, infallible, and Divinely inspired (II Timothy 3:16-17). We are celebratory in our worship. We believe that our mission in the world and in our community is clearly articulated in our Mission Statement, which reads: "In order to engage our culture with God's love and truth, East Renton Community Church exists to celebrate God's character and works by bringing people to Jesus Christ, encouraging them to mature in Christ, equipping them to serve in the body of Christ."

Job Description
The Worship Director's main responsibility is to encourage and lead the congregation into the authentic worship of God. In order to do this, the candidate will team with and lead members of the existing worship team as well as develop new team members under the direction and oversight of the Senior Pastor. As we conduct our ministry in the midst of a constantly changing culture, we expect the worship style to be prayerfully adjusted in order to maintain relevance. The Worship Director will demonstrate a sensitivity to and appreciation for theological accuracy, respect for tradition, but also a willingness and desire to embrace change.
