VETERAN’S DAY
We want to take a moment to honor and thank all the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. We are deeply grateful for your service.

KIDS – CHRISTMAS SKIT
We’re excited to present a Christmas skit called “The Greatest Gift”. It’s about a young child who is upset with what he gets for Christmas, and an older child offers him comfort. Then proceeds to share the story of the greatest gift ever – baby Jesus. The first practice starts on Sunday, November 9th and 23rd then continues every Sunday following until the performance on December 14th. Rehearsals will take place during service, with a final dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 13th. If your child is interested in partaking in this delightful skit, please contact Mandy Leenknecht for more details.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
We’ll be packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes after the Thanksgiving Feast on Sunday, November 16th, and again on Sunday, November 23rd, from 12:00–1:00 PM. The last day to donate items or money for postage is November 23rd. We still need to cover about $700 in shipping costs to send these gifts around the world, as well as a few key items to meet our goal of 120 shoeboxes. Here’s what’s left: 92 notebooks, 30 glue sticks, 70 erasers, 2 soccer balls, 80 pencil sharpeners, 60 hairbrushes, and 50 combs.  To make giving easy, we’ve created an Amazon Wish List—just click, shop, and have items shipped directly to the church! If you’d like to help with shipping costs, please note “OCC” in the memo line of your check.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
We’re looking for volunteers to join our Children’s Ministry team. We need two Group Guides, ages 13 and up, serving one week each month. If you are interested or have questions, contact Pastor Adam.

SOUND BOOTH
Are you interested in serving behind the scenes? We’re looking for volunteers to join our sound booth team during Sunday services. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and be part of a team that helps make worship happen each week. If you’re curious and would like more information email Pastor Adam.

SONG OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER
The song “Christus Victor (Amen)” proclaims Christ’s triumph over sin, death, and darkness—a victory that brings true freedom and peace. In November, as we honor Veterans Day, we remember those who fought for earthly freedom while giving thanks for the eternal freedom Christ secured through His cross and resurrection. As Thanksgiving turns our hearts to gratitude, we echo the song’s “Amen” in praise to the One who reigns victorious. “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

GLEAN AT ERCC (food and other items)
Inspired by: Acts 4:32 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had."

ERCC hosts a gleaning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays around 11:30 – 12:00pm in the back parking lot. Items are extras from stores such as Costco and QFC. It's mostly food, but sometimes other household items. When you arrive, there will be a person handing out buttons with numbers. You will line up according to your number. The elderly will have their own line and will go first. You will go through in groups of 10 and you must stay in line, no passing. Items allowed to pick depend on the amount of food that is brought. All participants are asked to enter through the back gate, park and go directly to the “number person” and get in line. (No scanning of the items laid out) Please come to the church after you receive the email notification from ERCC.
People attending ERCC are welcome to participate in the ‘glean’ distribution. If you would like to attend please email the church office and you will be added to the ‘gleaning’ email list. An e-mail will be sent about 15-20 minutes before the distribution begins. You must wait until the notice is sent before coming to the church. These are the instructions for the current participants and ERCC participants will be expected to do the same.

PRESTON FOOD BANK
Preston Food Bank is making a huge impact, supporting 200 families each week and creating special care bags for women, children, shut-ins, and more each month. To help them continue this vital work, they need plastic and paper shopping bags, magazines, and egg cartons. If you’d like to contribute, please place your donations in the walk-in pantry located in the church kitchen. Sally Williams will be collecting items every Sunday. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community.
