Week of 9/26/2025
WOMEN – SECRET SISTER
We will be having Secret Sisters for three months: October, November and December. This activity is available to all ladies 13 years of age and older. This is a fun activity where you will surprise another lady with little notes of encouragement, prayer and anything else you would like to do. You will also be blessed by another lady from ERCC. If you want to participate, please complete a Secret Sister information form and return to the church office by Sunday, September 28th. There are printed copies on the gift box table in the gym. This is also where you will drop your surprises off for delivery. Your Secret Sister will be revealed to you during an event in January. If you have any questions, please call Sally Williams at 425-890-7554 or email
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
This week we are focusing on collecting wow items for kids 10-14 years old. Here are some ideas: sewing kits, small tools, fishing kit, Legos, soccer balls with air pumps, art kits, and journals to name a few. An Amazon wish list has been created for easy shopping and the items you purchase can be shipped directly to the church. (13232 156th Ave. SE, Renton, WA 98059) A table has been set up to drop items off as well as provide you with some information and a list of items we need. You can also contribute money for postage or time by helping pack the shoeboxes. If you have questions, contact Sherri or Jannika Frothingham.
TRUNK OR TREAT
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 25th and join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and games! Doors will be open from 2:00–4:00 PM. We have a sign-up sheet available for volunteers at the table in the lobby and we’ll also need lots of candy! There are still many volunteer spots available: prep before the event, game booths and food, and clean up. Grab an invitation from the table and invite your friends and neighbors. You can register your kids and fill out the slide waiver now!
SOUND BOOTH
Are you interested in serving behind the scenes? We’re looking for volunteers to join our sound booth team during Sunday services. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and be part of a team that helps make worship happen each week. If you’re curious and would like more information email Pastor Adam.
SONG OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER
Our true identity and value are not found in possessions, achievements, or status, but in Christ alone. The lyrics point us away from pride in success or despair in failure, anchoring our worth in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and His redeeming love. We no longer strive to prove ourselves by worldly measures, but rest in God’s grace and respond with gratitude and faith. (Philippians 3:8)

WOMEN'S - BIBLE STUDY
Study: Ephesians: God's Vision for His People
Ever wonder, "Do I matter?" "What is my purpose for living?" The Apostle Paul, during his two-year imprisonment in Rome, spells out God's grand calling, plan and purpose for our life when united to Jesus Christ through faith. This letter begins with a breathtaking list of what God has done to adopt us as his own accomplished by the work of Christ. It includes practical ways to live a life of love, even in a harsh and hostile world, where we must learn to stand firm in Christ. You're warmly welcome to join us as we learn to be "kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Eph. 4:32.
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
When: Tuesday Evenings starting October 14th, 12 sessions
Location: Zoom
Cost: $12 for Discussion Guide - Make checks out to ERCC and mark Ladies Bible Study on the memo line

HELP SERVE OUR SENIORS
We would love for you to join our ministry in preparing part of the meal for our seniors at Senior Bible Fellowship. This is a bi-monthly gathering on the second and fourth Tuesday at 11:30 AM where our seniors come together for fellowship, faith, and a delicious meal. You can bring any dish for lunch and drop it off on Sunday, either a main dish, side, salad, rolls, or dessert. It’s a simple but impactful way to show love and appreciation to our seniors. GLEAN AT ERCC (food and other items)
Inspired by: Acts 4:32 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had."
ERCC hosts a gleaning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays around 11:30 – 12:00pm in the back parking lot. Items are extras from stores such as Costco and QFC. It's mostly food, but sometimes other household items. When you arrive, there will be a person handing out buttons with numbers. You will line up according to your number. The elderly will have their own line and will go first. You will go through in groups of 10 and you must stay in line, no passing. Items allowed to pick depend on the amount of food that is brought. All participants are asked to enter through the back gate, park and go directly to the “number person” and get in line. (No scanning of the items laid out) Please come to the church after you receive the email notification from ERCC.
People attending ERCC are welcome to participate in the ‘glean’ distribution. If you would like to attend please email the church office and you will be added to the ‘gleaning’ email list. An e-mail will be sent about 15-20 minutes before the distribution begins. You must wait until the notice is sent before coming to the church. These are the instructions for the current participants and ERCC participants will be expected to do the same.
PRESTON FOOD BANK
Preston Food Bank is making a huge impact, supporting 200 families each week and creating special care bags for women, children, shut-ins, and more each month. To help them continue this vital work, they need plastic and paper shopping bags, magazines, and egg cartons. If you’d like to contribute, please place your donations in the cardboard box located in the church kitchen. Sally Williams will be collecting items every Sunday. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community.
