He Is Risen
1) Was there anything from the sermon or the passage that stuck out to you?
2) Many people experience seasons of grief, loss, or disappointment in their spiritual journey. These difficult moments can feel like walking to a tomb, carrying the weight of unmet expectations or shattered hopes. How has a difficult season in your life eventually led to unexpected joy or a deeper understanding of God's presence?
3) The first witnesses to the resurrection were women in a culture that did not value their testimony. They spoke truth despite knowing they might not be believed or respected. When have you felt called to speak truth about your faith experience even when you knew it might be dismissed or misunderstood?
4) Doubt often serves as a catalyst for deeper investigation rather than an obstacle to faith. Thomas needed to see and touch Jesus's wounds before believing, and Jesus met him in that place of uncertainty. What questions or doubts have actually strengthened your faith journey rather than weakened it?
5) True spiritual community allows people to come as they are, in their grief, confusion, or brokenness, rather than pretending to have everything together. Community becomes transformative when we create space for authenticity. How might our church create a more welcoming environment for people in various stages of faith and life circumstances?
