Discussion Questions:

1) Was there anything from the sermon or the passage that stuck out to you?

2) Throughout history, people have defined peace differently—as the absence of conflict, as prosperity, as freedom from oppression, or as inner contentment. These definitions often shape our expectations of what God should provide in our lives. How do you personally define peace, and how might that definition influence your relationship with God?

3) The concept of shalom goes beyond mere calmness or the absence of stress. It represents a deep sense of wholeness, completeness, and being exactly where you're meant to be—like a puzzle piece fitting perfectly into its place. What area of your life feels most in need of this kind of complete, whole peace right now?

4) We often approach God with predetermined ideas about how He should act and what solutions He should provide. When God doesn't meet these expectations, our faith can be challenged, much like the crowds who welcomed Jesus but later rejected Him when He didn't fulfill their vision of a conquering king. When has God worked in your life in a way that was completely different from what you expected or asked for?

5) Obedience to God's will—even when we don't fully understand it—often serves as a pathway to experiencing His peace. Following God's direction sometimes requires us to trust beyond our comprehension. What makes it difficult to obey God when His instructions don't align with your understanding or preferences?
